United States president Donald Trump stated that he intends to inform Russia's leader Vladimir Putin of strengthening Ukraine's support by handing over long-range missiles to Tomahawk if Moscow fails to end the conflict.
"Tomahawk – an extraordinary weapon, very offensive. To be honest, Russia does not request this," added the American President. Trump expressed hope that Putin would agree to end the conflict: “If not, it would end badly for him”.
Ukrainian president Volodymir Zelenski stated that in the event of the transfer of Tomahawk missiles, Ukrainians would attack only military targets. He besides included energy facilities due to the fact that "Russians sale energy resources, get money and invest them in the military".
Putin has spoken respective times over the last 2 weeks about the possible effects of the transfer of missiles to Tomahawk Kiev. He warned that this would lead to "destruction of affirmative trends" in bilateral relations and constitute a "qualityly new" escalation.
