Moscowtimes.ru: IMF rapidly lowered Russian economy's projected growth

The global Monetary Fund (IMF) has, for the second time since the beginning of the summertime of this year, rapidly lowered the projected growth rate of the Russian economy. According to the latest estimates, this country's GDP will only increase by 0.6%.

This is much little than in 2024. The Russian economy then increased by 4.3%.

In April this year, the IMF expected Russia's GDP to increase by 1.5%. In June, forecasts were reduced to 0.9%. However, besides this indicator, most likely, will be hard to achieve.

The Russian authorities have their own expectations of economical growth. However, Russian economists besides see increasing problems. At the beginning of this year, GDP growth was projected at 2.5%. In September, expectations were reduced to 1%.

The subject of the deepening crisis of the Russian economy is increasingly being exploitedby U.S. president Donald Trump. The American leader declared on October 14, that the Russian economical sector is balancing on the brink of collapse. In his opinion, there are immense queues at fuel stations.
