[In September 2024, the Moroccan Armed Forces](https://defence24.pl/przemysl/maroko-z-licencja-na-indyjski-kolowy-transporter-opancerzony) signed a contract with the Indian company Tata Advanced Systems for the supply of 150 WhAP 8x8 wheeled armored personnel carriers. As part of it, the company was besides to start their local production in the Casablanca industrial zone, creating 90 direct jobs and 250 indirect jobs (probably subcontractors). The plant would initially be liable for 35% of production, but yet it is to increase to 50%. This contract was to importantly contribute to strengthening the local industry, but besides the economy of the region.
