Nearly 110 people on 13.12.2024 joined the ranks of the Kujawsko-Pomeranian territories. The structure of the 8th Kujawsko-Pomorskie Territorial Defence Brigade (8th K-PBOT) formed on 15 January 2018 includes 4 battalions (Torun, Inowroclaw, Grudziądz, Włocławek), 4 independent companies and the Staff and Command in Bydgoszcz. In total, about 2,200 soldiers have already served.
WOT Holidays
Volunteers who, on 13.12.2024, appeared in the 83rd Light Infantry Battalion (blp) in Grudziądz in order to start their military way, completed the process of acceptance, registration and uniforming. Their training will proceed from 18 January with the beginning of the cyclical action of Ferie from WOT. This solution enables the completion of 16-day basic training (or 8-day compensatory training for those who have already been active in various forms of military service in the past) of students, students, teachers and all those who can afford the essential leisure time only during winter holidays. The military oath will take place on 1 February 2025 in barracks area 83 blp at 11 Jagiełły Street.
Basics of the Soldier's Craft
The fresh recruits will get the basis of theoretical cognition and applicable skills which each soldier of the Polish Army must know through basic training. The outline of the broad subject of tactics, shooting training in accordance with the fresh Shooting Programme (PSBS) and the survey of rules and drills will let them to realize the rules of operation in the military environment and to realise the intent of the next 3-year training process.
- I'm sorry. After basic training, soldiers will focus on mandatory rotation training. specified training is organized erstwhile a month, during weekend holidays. The yearly rotation training cycle is always completed by a two-week training course. This year, soldiers left for Wędrzyn and Ustka, among others. Infrastructure
8 The Kujawsko-Pomeranian Territorial Defence Brigade is about to celebrate its 7th anniversary. Individual battalions were created over the years with its development. In parallel with training soldiers, there is simply a improvement of barracks infrastructure and training sub-chapters.
The youngest 84 blp in Włocławek only works a year, but thanks to the systematic construction of individual states through incarnation, it is completed at a akin level to the another 3 battalions.
In 2025, its operation will be possible in the renovated building at 27 Leśna Street, which will be equivalent to the completion of the second intended goal after building its structures.
7 years of experience building in real activities
Soldiers of 8.K-PBOT during nearly 7 years of operation of the Brigade participated in many aid (anti-crisis) actions specified as "Resistent Spring" and "Sustainable Immunity" (against the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic) or "Resistable Aid" aimed at assisting in the efficient reception of refugees arriving in Poland from the war-torn Ukraine.
The Kujawsko-Pomeranian territories proceed to actively participate in Operation "Peniks", helping flooded people in the south of the country and service in strengthening the east border of Poland as part of Operation "Safe Podlasie".
