More Qualified

Soon these provisions are to change. The Ministry of Defence has prepared proposals for fresh solutions, which supply for an extension of the number of combat work authorised. On additional money will be able to number not only aircraft crew members or SIL personnel, but besides all soldiers entrusted with combat duty. This is primarily about soldiers of the divisions. Radiotechnical Forces (WRt).

Brig-Gen Marek Brzezicha, Commander 3 Radiotechnical Brigade, emphasises that soldiers of this unit have been on round-the-clock combat work for decades as part of the NATO Air Defence and Anti-missile strategy (NATNAMNDS) and the Integrated Air Defence strategy of the Republic of Poland (SOP of the Republic of Poland). “The tasks of the brigade require a large commitment and commitment from us. Especially since the outbreak of the armed conflict in Ukraine. Our soldiers execute tasks on radio stations, on the east wall and on the full Poland – says the general. He adds: "I am convinced that radiotechnic soldiers will welcome and welcome the introduction of a fresh MON regulation on the additional wage of professional soldiers, taking them as an appreciation of the uniqueness of the tasks they perform," says the commander of the 3rd Radiotechnic Brigade.

In the opinion of the representatives of the MON, the intent of the proposed solutions is besides to make financial motivation to undertake and carry out long-term military service in the sub-divisions of the Radiotechnical Forces. By expanding the size of these subdivisions, the capabilities of the country's air defence strategy are besides increasing.

The second proposal is to harmonise the amount of additional remuneration for each form of round-the-clock duty. Regardless of its kind, uniform financial gratuity for the soldiers performing them will amount to PLN 200. According to estimates of the Ministry of National Defence, implementation of the changes is expected to cost about PLN 8.4 million per year.

Changes in diets

But it's not the only change in this group of soldiers. MON besides prepared an amendment Regulation on professional soldiers' cash claims for transfers, resettlement and business trips. Currently, a soldier is entitled to 250% of the diet rate (i.e. PLN 112.50 per day) for the time of his national business journey to safe or execute the Combat Division Change (DZB). – In view of the planned inclusion of this group of soldiers with the right to an additional salary, we propose that these soldiers should be entitled to a diet of 45 PLN per day in the event of a home business journey in order to service on duty. In practice, if DZB is held in the home unit, the soldier will receive 250% of the diet rate, and in the case of a business journey he will be entitled to a national diet.

Both projects are at the interministerial stage. They are to enter into force at the beginning of the period following the announcement, which will let consistency with the calendar service planning system.
