The case of Wsik and Kamiński
The erstwhile Prime Minister expressed the clear belief that Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik should be at large due to their immunity and their remaining mandate. Morawiecki argued that all this was approved by the decision of the home of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs. He besides stressed that these politicians are now MPs, which he deduces on the basis of the decisions of the ultimate Court and the right of grace previously granted by president Andrzej Duda.
Morawiecki besides declared that, after leaving prison, Members should have the right to sit in the lower chamber of parliament and participate in the votes, and he himself intends to introduce them to the Sejm. The erstwhile Prime Minister stressed that they did not intend to face the Marshal's Guard, but would present papers confirming compliance with the law, awaiting full implementation of the law so that persons who were wrongly deprived of their mandate could proceed to exercise it.
Referring to the announcement by president Andrzej Duda to launch the pardon procedure, Morawiecki considered this decision a right solution. On the another hand, he stated that it was not a confession to the error. He stressed that the current kind of pardon, which involves another institutions, is of a different nature than in 2015.
They must have miscalculated it.
During the conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski, the erstwhile Prime Minister was besides asked about the fresh opposition march in Warsaw, which according to the organizers gathered 300 1000 participants. However, the town hall reported that the number was 10 times smaller, while Onet's website calculated that about 90-120,000 demonstrators appeared on the streets of the capital.
Matthew Morawiecki, however, considered these reports to be false. After Rymanowski stated that according to the town hall the assembly consisted of about 35,000 people, the erstwhile Prime Minister only laughed. Regarding Onetu, he said:
In German @tagesschau was extended correspondent material @KristinJoachim About yesterday #FreePoles protest and the decision of the PAD of Kamiński and Wąsik. pic.twitter.com/BwWGL2LX3s

If the German Onet portal gives 120,000, that means that 200,000 definitely was. I think that if you number everyone who came and those who were on the bus stops didn't make it, it was much more.
Morawiecki then thanked everyone who decided to participate in the project. :
Thank you for the march. Despite the frost, the snow was with us, they came from all corners of Poland. I am grateful to all Poles who participated in the March of Free Poles.
Morawiecki head of the Law and Justice?
Two another crucial declarations were announced during the discussion. Firstly, the erstwhile Prime Minister expressed his intention to apply for the position of Head of the Law and Justice organization after Jarosław Kaczyński left for political retirement.
I'd like you to be chief of the Law and Justice for as long as possible. And then I would besides like to compete in this honorable race, in this competition. He confessed.
In addition, Morawiecki did not exclude the anticipation of participating in presidential elections planned for 2025. He stressed that the final decision on the substance would be taken by the political committee of the Law and Justice, which would take place in about 10 months.
It is worth reminding that in November last year Jarosław Kaczyński announced that in 2024 he would end his leadership of the party. He then assessed that there was no request to discuss this issue, as his word as president of the Law and Justice organization expires before the presidential election. This means that a fresh organization leader will be selected through congress.
However, unofficial information provided to Virtual Poland suggests that despite erstwhile announcements Kaczyński plans to reapply for the party's position as president. Concerns about the party's future after the failure of power by the Law and Justice are suspected to be the motivation for this decision. There are many voices suggesting that Kaczyński should fear that without him, the PiS organization will shortly fall apart.
