Monuments to human pride..

Some might think that in the era of the net and decently functioning automatic translators, the “Babel Tower problem” has been successfully solved, meaning that humanity is presently able to communicate on a global scale with “common language”. However, it would be very unconvincing to propose that humanity became uniquely united, peaceful, or harmonious.

The awareness of this state of affairs makes it clear that confusion between languages is the result, not the origin of unproductive disputes and idle conflicts. The Babel Tower was primarily a spectacular monument to human pride, and the statues of human pride have it against each other, that at any phase of their construction it turns out that each builder has a different knowing of their nature and a different thought about their completion. This, in turn, is an apparent consequence of the presumption that the rules governing reality are not to be known, but to be actively shaped and subjected to human will.

In another words, communication idleness results primarily from not speaking in different languages, but from not having anything meaningful to convey, and it results mostly from reasoning that individual words or phrases could be attributed to any meaning, or that the question of meaning was, nomen omen, meaningless.

Communication problems are so primarily a derivative of cognitive problems, and the diversity of interpretations and positions can only be fruitful if they are voluntarily subjected to all the cognition of truth, treated as an objective, unchanging and etractive phenomenon of the knowing entity. It is only then that it is clear that the fact liberates – besides from the communication shackles which the interviewer himself has established.
