The heart hurt, the heart hurts all the time as they destroy, how they lose their value, how they vanish in sight," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the press conference, at which he announced the start of the implementation of the Government's Historical Reconstruction Programme.
For the past 30 years, historical objects in our country have been doomed to oblivion. A frequent origin was the deficiency of funds to rebuild them. Repairing public finances allowed crucial funds to be allocated for this purpose, as monuments besides have utility value. In many localities throughout Poland, buildings of schools, nurseries, kindergartens or cultural centres are located in monuments.
