On Sunday 7 December, the Polish paper Club in Montreal organized a fantasy raffle at the Christmas Kiermas Festival held in the Hall of the White Eagle Society in Montreal. The aim of this and another planned actions is to rise funds for the KGP Foundation and the Border defence Movement.
Perhaps on a general scale, the collected funds may seem modest, but in the case of a single and tiny number of Clubs – specified as ours, we believe that our action has been successful. And that caused us to continue.
We pass this account on to the another clubs, as we have observed that from a intellectual point of view, the collection of money itself towards the "pandemic" of this kind of activity, most frequently on the Internet, is starting to have a counterproductive effect.
The lottery in which each destiny wins importantly neutralizes the distrust of participants taking part in it. We hope this thought will interest the another clubs.
The initiators and initiators of this thought were “our Iwony”, Mrs Iwona Borowiec and Mrs Iwona Sielska. And this is simply a very crucial thing to note. Both of our colleagues have long represented the Montreal Club at the reunions in Poland. Their determination to act and their commitment show how crucial and motivating it is for participants to organise KGP reunions. They brought optimism and energy to action from our homeland, breaking the pessimism that weakened our activity.
Montreal KGP sends cordial greetings from the snowy and frozen (-15°C) of the largest Indian village in QUEBEC Province.
