Let's get them flowers.

When after arrests and departure in an unknown direction in December 1981
friends from our Solidarity I yet managed to find them and go from Warsaw to
Silesia, I entered Radoch Prison in Sosnowiec. That's where they kept them, separated from them.
the planet as "enemies of socialism", as dangerous criminals, capable of "overturning"
Power of the system". I remember this visit to this day, all minute of it - grey, depressed faces
The captured Solidarity activists, the guard's shoe, the uncertainty of tomorrow. What's next with
with us, with Poland?
I brought any "seeing" things for the first time - any clean underwear,
Some fruit, a part of favourite cake, as much as fit in a woman's purse.
I remember there were no words, due to the fact that everything seemed so unreal, not about us,
And even those who watched us, there's no telling why. At the end of the conversation
I heard a conviction addressed to me that I inactive remember today: ...Thank you for these things,
I just want you'd brought a bunch of white and red flowers. I could usage me and
Girls in a cell."
I was able to get out of there beautiful quickly, as far distant from those hated grays.
uniformed servants of Jaruzelski, dark corridors, from the jaw of prison keys.
We could have escaped, the ones they hadn't caught yet. Our friends, political prisoners
They must have stayed there due to the fact that the tyrant and his bandit group decided so.
Today, erstwhile I look at the faces of 2 women in Television, the wives of the Members of Mary
Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, those memories from the martial law of December 1981
They come back with all their power, due to the fact that today's dominant feeling is sadness, compassion and
worry about tomorrow. And again, the thought comes back, what can we do for them?
They must feel that we are with them to endure, just as our friends with that
December. possibly we should bring them flowers - necessarily white and red!
