PLN 3000 per period throughout the period of survey is simply a scholarship for hundreds of fresh students who will qualify for the program of the Minister of National Defence. The basic conditions for candidates are learning on 1 of 23 courses at a civilian university and wanting to service in the Polish Army for at least a fewer years.

Recruitment is underway for a scholarship program that was included in the Defence of the Motherland Act. Its aim is to supply financial support to students of selected courses at civilian universities, ensuring the acquisition of skills useful in the armed forces. The pilot MON program, which was run 2 years ago, could have qualified 50 people. In the academic year 2024/2025 fresh scholarship holders can be twice as many. Nevertheless, it is worth hurrying up the application. – If there are more applications than planned scholarships, and all candidates meet the requirements, the admission to the program will be decided by the deadline for the student's application – informs Mr Renata Mycio, the press spokesperson of the Central Military Recruitment Centre (CWCR).

Who has a chance at a scholarship?

The application for a scholarship may be submitted by those who start their studies as part of a uniform master's degree or first degree. However, immediately after earning a bachelor's degree, education in this field must be continued as part of second-cycle studies. MON requires scholarship holders to get a master's or master's degree in engineering at 1 of the 23 designated courses.

RECLAMA

And students of electronics, electronics, automation or telecommunications can number on up to 8 scholarships on each of these courses. After 5 scholarships, they wait for robotics students, medical rescue or geodesy. Future doctors and dentists, vets, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, and mechatronicians besides have the chance to supply financial support throughout their studies. The list includes robotics, energy, medical analysts, biochemistry, optoelectronics, cartography and geoinformatics, ICT, cybernetics, the exploitation of communication infrastructure, geospatial engineering and navigation.

Money only for future military

The scholarship is PLN 3000 gross per month, or half of the professional salary. In order to receive specified support throughout the period of survey (ten payouts per academic year), not only should certificates be presented on a specified date confirming the completion of the next semesters be presented, but above all, to tie their future with armed forces. The scholarship holder will then be called up for service during training as part of the officer course. The 3rd proposal concerns the appointment and service of professional military service for a minimum of 5 years.

The student has to face the fact that if he fails to comply with the obligations arising from the contract (taking over further semesters, military service, etc.), he will gotta reimburse the funds received. At the same time, the paper provides for a "higher force for which the parties are not liable and which prevents the performance of the contract". In specified a case, the MON allows it to be terminated by agreement of the parties.
