Already next Wednesday at 5 p.m. at 12 Wiejska Street in Warsaw, there will be a 3rd edition of monthly prayers organized by the Centre of Life and household under the premises "AboTak" – the abortion facility of Dream squad operating in the immediate vicinity of the Polish Parliament. The participants will meet in front of the neon “Reader” to participate in the prayer of the Rosary and Litania to Saint Joseph in order to defend unborn children and their mothers. Everyone who is at the heart of Polish families is invited.

Birth of the cycle – March 2026

The Center of Life and household inaugurated a monthly prayer cycle Wednesday 18 March. The choice of the word was not accidental: the organizers wanted to entrust the substance to the unborn children of St.Joseph in March – the period dedicated to him – and planned to meet on Wednesdays, on a day especially related to his memory in the tradition of the Church. Marcin Perłowski of the Center for Life and household emphasized: “We want to entrust the case of unborn children to St. Joseph.”

From the very beginning, the organizers emphasized only the prayer nature of the events. The program of each gathering includes Litania to St. Joseph and Rosary, intertwined with singing. Meetings are not accompanied by slogans or speeches – they are to be moments of focused spiritual prayer in order to respect the life of unborn children.

Prayers are besides an appeal to the public authorities to respect the applicable law, to decision distant from the current abortion course, and to be more afraid about Polish families and to make conditions conducive to the establishment of families and raising children.

Why Village 12?

On 8 March 2025, on Women's Day, activists from Abortion Dream Teamu opened a “abortion clinic” at Wiejska Street in Warsaw, just under the Seym. Under the slogans “Abotak!” and “Abortion is OK!” they guarantee that you can make “group abortions” there. The women who apply to the “patient clinic” are to receive assistance in carrying out abortion, which, according to Polish law, constitutes a criminal offence under Article 152(2) of the Criminal Code.

The Center of Life and household felt that the answer to this activity should be, alongside legal actions, a regular, peaceful prayer right here. Monthly meetings are to remind the public that in the centre of Warsaw, respective decades from the building of the Polish parliament, there is simply a conflict for fundamental values: the right to life and the protection of motherhood.

Prayer is not all – the legal front of Ordo Iuris

The prayer initiative of the Center for Life and household is 1 of the dimensions of the wide-ranging run to close ‘AboYes’. Parallel to the beginning of the facility, intensive legal action has been led by Ordo Iuris.

Immediately after the beginning of the “patient” lawyers of the Institute prepared a announcement about the anticipation of the abortion activists committing the crime and handed it over to the territory Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, indicating that the organizers of the “patient” commit a crime of assisting in abortion. They besides pointed out the violation of pharmaceutical law – abortionists were to participate in the promotion and marketing of miscarriage measures that did not receive the required administrative decision.

In order to break off the police protection performance of the ‘retired clinic’ financed by taxpayers' money, The Institute sent a request to the Metropolitan Police Station to make public information, requesting reasons for the posting of officers to defend the facility, the number of policemen sent and the associated costs.

Ordo Iuris besides prepared an analysis of police powers in connection with the activities AboYes", explaining that, in view of a legitimate suspicion of a crime of assisting in abortion, officers have not only the right but besides the work to refuse to comply with an order to defend specified an institution. The Institute offered the police afraid free legal assistance.

The prosecution initially refused to initiate an investigation, recognising, contrary to apparent facts, that activists operate within the framework of freedom of speech. However, after the lawyers of Ordo Iuris complained, the territory Court in Warsaw waived the prosecutor's decision to refuse to initiate an investigation and ordered prosecutors to re-examine the case.

An crucial informing for abortion environments was besides the conviction of Justyna Wydrzynska to punish 8 months of restrictions on freedom for assisting in illegal abortion. After the appeal, the case is re-identified, but the legal precedent remains significant.

Across the country, dozens of life defenders can number on legal support from lawyers from Ordo Iuris erstwhile law enforcement charges are made against them in favour of protecting their lives. The Institute provides free legal assistance to all who engage in pro-life activities and face state repression.

A common front – prayer and law

The Center of Life and household and the Ordo Iuris Institute have been co-founding the National March of Life for years, which proves all year the engagement of Poles in defending life from conception to natural death.
