MCitizen Junior. Starts a fresh government application for the youngest

The Ministry of Digitization launches a peculiar version of the mCitizen application aimed at children and youth. In mCitizen Junior students of Polish primary schools and advanced schools will gain easy access to school passes.

As of Thursday, a peculiar version addressed to children and youth will be available as part of the mCitizen application. Application Start mCitizen Junior, which will make it easier for young people to have access to school passes and reliefs needed in public transport, among others, announced present at the press conference of the Minister of National Education Barbara Nowacka and the Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski.

mCitizen Junior. Who will usage the fresh app?

- I'm sorry. In the mCitizen app is available mCitizen Junior. This is an application version for all students and students in Poland. Its introduction means a number of facilities and universal access to digital school passes. Each student can add a paper utilizing the QR code available on the Integrated Educational Platform (ZPE) website. Parents and guardians have access to school IDs of children and subjects from the level of their mcicietel - the Ministry of Digital Affairs informed on Thursday.

– We want students to be able to usage safe, modern and convenient solutions, so we hand over mCitizen Junior in the mCitizen app. shortly all student in Poland will be able to have digital version of school card on your phone - said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalism, Krzysztof Gawkowski.

– mCitizen Junior is an invitation to learn about digital solutions that will let the adult user mCitizen in the future easy and fast to arrange formalities through subsequent papers and services available in the application, Gawkowski added.

School pass in mCitizen Junior

Thanks to the mCitizen Junior app available in mCitizen, all students in Poland will gain the chance to usage digital school card. Until June 2025, this function was only available for about 180 1000 students, mainly from institutions cooperating with the Ministry of Digital Affairs. From now on, the school card can be added independently on 5 mobile devices – a student, parents or carers.

According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, mCitizen Junior was besides language, aesthetic and functional to the needs of younger users who have now received their own space in the most popular government application.

– We have good news for students and parents – the student legacy becomes a fact. The constant search for paper IDs goes into oblivion. Within a week each parent for his kid of the student will be able to download mLegimation in the mCicietel application," said Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka. The politician stated that the fresh version of mCitizen for the youngest would be "a large comfort, comfort and step towards the digital future of Poland".

If the student wants to add his school card, he should after downloading the mCitizen app from the store on his device choose the version of the mCitizen Junior application. To add a school card in mCitizen Junior, you request a QR code made available by the educational establishment through the Integrated Educational Platform (ZPE).
