In 2015, U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno announced the introduction of 4 fresh vehicles in the coming years, which would yet replace the equipment deployed during the “Cold War” years. It should be noted that the announced modernization did not mean only the replacement of previously utilized vehicles.
