Following talks with Alaxandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 12 and 13 December, a peculiar typical of the president of the United States for Belarus, John Cole announced the abolition of the embargo on Belarusian potassium fertilizers introduced in 2021. In turn, the Belarusian dictator pardoned 123 people: most Belarusians, including many political prisoners and opposition activists. Among them were his rival in the 2020 election campaign.
