Students from 16 secondary schools conducting troops of military preparation will participate in the pilot program of the Ministry of National Defence "OPW with drone". Its aim is to support schools in promoting drone training among students who are curious in gaining BSP service privileges. Teachers will besides benefit from this initiative.

They are liable for conducting the task Central Military Recruitment Center and the Inspectorate of the Military Unmanned Armed Systems DGRSZ. – 16 secondary schools were selected to participate in the program, after 1 of each voivodship, which in the last 2 school years achieved the highest recruitment consequence for the Armed Forces of Poland among students and graduates of military preparation troops – says Captain Michał Gelej, CWCR spokesman. As he adds, it was besides a condition that the school had the infrastructure to supply theoretical and applicable lessons from drone training and that the teaching staff had the appropriate qualifications.

In each of the schools participating in the task 30 training groups (drone groups) will be created, consisting of students willing to make fresh skills. They can besides be joined by students from another classes than the ODP. Military instructors will besides train a group of teachers to support the student training process.

The decision to qualify for a drone group shall stay under the sole competence of the school's director. Classes under the program will include both explanation and practice. Participants will learn about aviation law and the construction and operation of drones. Students, as well as teachers, will besides get the privileges required by the civilian Aviation Authority to fly unmanned aircraft in categories A1/A3, which will be financed by MON.

The task “OPP with a drone” will be financed from public funds in the form of targeted grants, which will be held by the Central Military Recruitment Centre on behalf of the Minister of National Defence. The pilot task will be conducted until 1 July 2027 and then continued in the mark formula.
