Missile shield for Saudis and Emirates – for cheaper oil?

The United arabian Emirates has been approved to get 96 THAAD interceptors and command and control elements: 2 Tactical Operations Stations and 2 Launch Operation Stations, along with additional equipment, for up to USD 2.245 billion. The transaction may include an offset, but its scope must be defined between the manufacture contractor (Lockheed Martin) and the UAE government.
