On 19 November, the Ministry of Trade's press spokesperson informed that the Chinese side welcomes the Dutch side's decision to suspend the administrative order for Nexperia on a voluntary basis.
According to the spokesman, on 18 and 19 November the respective government departments of China and the Netherlands conducted 2 rounds of direct consultations on Nexperia in Beijing. The Chinese side reiterated that the Dutch side is the origin and work for the current disruptions in the global production and supply chain of semiconductors. It called for real action which will rapidly and effectively address the Nexperia issue and reconstruct the safety and stableness of the global semiconductor supply chain. The Dutch organization itself proposed to suspend the administrative order issued by the Minister of Economy under the Accessibility Act.
The Ombudsman stressed that China welcomes the Netherlands' decision to suspend the order, recognising it as the first step in the right direction. At the same time, he pointed out that there was inactive a distance to solve the underlying turbulence and chaos in the global supply chain of semiconductors — the full repeal of the warrant. He added that the incorrect corporate court decision, initiated by the Ministry of Economy of the Netherlands, which deprived Chinese company Wingtech of control of Nexperia, inactive constitutes a key obstacle to resolving the case. The Chinese side expressed its hope that the Netherlands would proceed to cooperate and put forward truly constructive proposals to address the problem.
Both parties agreed that administrative interference should be removed and companies should be assisted in resolving interior disputes in accordance with the law and through negotiations, thereby protecting legitimate investor rights and creating better conditions for restoring the safety and stableness of the global semiconductor supply chain.
