Minister of abroad Affairs of China, Australia. A sign of a breakthrough in the region?

In the capital of Australia, Canberra met Australian abroad Minister Penny Wong with her Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi. This is the first gathering of high-level representatives of China and Australia on the Australian continent in respective years. The erstwhile 1 took place in 2017, erstwhile the gathering of then prime ministers of both states was held: Li Keqianga (China) and Malcolm Turnbull (Australia).
