Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz presented in the Sejm the conclusions of the study on the functioning of the Smolensk Subcommittee chaired by Antoni Macierewicz. “The squad has negatively assessed the operation of the subcommittee in all aspects examined: legality, purpose, reliability and economy”, said the Minister of National Defence.
– During six years of work, the alleged Smolensk Subcommittee Antoni Macierewicz was incapable to formulate conclusions and recommendations so that specified disasters would not occur. The main task was to prove the thesis about the assassination," said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish on Friday in the Sejm. In parliament, the Minister of National Defence presented the conclusions of a study prepared by a squad of experts led by Colonel Leszek Błach. – The squad consisted of independent experts, 19 people with experience in aviation accident studies. Engineers, lawyers, military college experts, staff at the Ministry of Defence. It was authentic and full apolitical," stressed the Deputy Prime Minister.
Irregularities in all areas examined

The Minister of National Defence besides pointed out the inefficiencies in the activities of the commission of Antoni Macierewicz. – The costs associated with securing the functioning of the Smolensk Subcommittee amounted to over PLN 34.5 million. This amount should be added to the irretrievable demolition of the Tu-154 second aircraft utilized for experiments, whose value was valued at PLN 47 million," he said. This totals over PLN 81 million, which the Treasury spent on actions by Antoni Macierewicz. Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed that the committee besides generated large expenses after publication of the report, erstwhile it functioned "unlawfully and not purposefully".

The 24 notifications concern the head of the Smolensk Subcommittee, Antoni Macierewicz, and are related, among another things, to exceeding the powers in order to accomplish individual benefit, failure to fulfil duties, proof of untruth, forgery and bribery, and allowing 3rd parties to work under the subcommittee. 10 notifications concern erstwhile MON chief Marius Błaszczak. The notifications besides concern another persons associated with the Smolensk subcommittee, specified as Bartłomiej Misiewicz, Kazimierz Nowaczyk or Wacław Berczyński.
