Polish Radio Opera Anatomy. November 24, 2025

This opera is simply a actual celebration of music – for both young and adult listeners. However, any scenes prove inappropriate for the youngest. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's celebrated work contains more than charmed instruments, sweet bells, or self-loving Papagen and Papagena. Mozart, in collaboration with Emanuel Schikaneder, created a multilayered communicative that is hard to interpret explicitly. Mature to love? Transgression? A conflict of masonry and church? How about confronting death? These are the clues we're going to take erstwhile we survey the anatomy of this celebrated 1791 singspiel. They invite: Radio writer Agata Kwiecińska and conductor Adam Banazak. A full version of the podcast along with musical examples is available on the podcast website. polskieradio.pl.
