Miller: The talker of the Sejm exceeds competence, and Trump's criticism simply harms common relations. The erstwhile Prime Minister wants a clear signal from Poland at the Peace Council.

Leszek Miller harshly assessed the actions of Marshal Vladimir the Black and the way this comments on Donald Trump. In a conversation on the ZET radio, the erstwhile Prime Minister stated that the marshal "always exceeds competence", and his criticism of the president of the United States was a "mistake" and was expected to complicate relations with the embassy and the White House. Miller besides explicitly says that in the current situation Poland should "choose America", regardless of its objections to Trump.

"If there's no resolution, it's a good thing you're a good guy."

The subject convened by Donald Trump of the Council of Peace returned in the context of Marcin Przycz's departure, head of the Office of global Policy in the Chancellery of the President. He is to participate in the inauguration as an observer.

Miller argued that since there is no formal government resolution that would designate a "roadcast" for a presidential envoy, leaving alone is the right move. At the same time, he stated that if the government felt that the president should have a clear position, the Prime Minister's words were not enough. According to Miller, a resolution of the Council of Ministers would be needed.

– If the government believes that the president should have a clear signpost, then the Prime Minister's word is not adequate and it must be a resolution adopted by the Council of Ministers," said Leszek Miller in an interview with Radio ZET.

The erstwhile Prime Minister besides suggested that the government could avoid specified a paper for purely political reasons. In his opinion, if the resolution were "in writing", it could rapidly go to Washington, and that would make the situation of Prime Minister Donald Tusk worse. Miller added that Karol Nawrocki is right, awaiting resolution.

– The government is most likely afraid that if specified a resolution were in writing, it would be transferred immediately to Washington. Then Prime Minister Tusk's situation worsens," said Miller.

What would Miller like to hear at the Peace Council?

Miller said that the Polish typical should clearly outline that Poland does not close its way to a possible entry into the Council of Peace, but at a later date. He stressed that even if the initiative was Trump's "capry", specified a whim could be useful in his assessment. He argued that observer position gives access to "firsthand" information and allows you to keep contact alternatively of demonstrating a distance towards the US President.

One of the strongest sentences in the conversation was besides made. Miller estimated that in the current geopolitical situation Poland should "choose America", even if there are objections to Trump's kind or decision. He added that he did not see a better option, and anyone who does not realize it works "objectively" against Poland.

This was his answer to questions about relations with the US and how Polish politicians should communicate in matters concerning the American administration.

The Black 1 is beyond competence

However, the sharpest parts of the conversation afraid the Marshal of the Sejm. Miller felt that his critical statements about Trump were "totally unnecessary" and stemmed from his desire to gain political points. He warned that the party's interest was not always in line with the State's interest.

– The marshal wants to gain any points in the public eye for his group. But the interests of the group are not always the same as those of the state," says Leszek Miller.

According to Miller, the speech of the marshal was to complicate contacts with the embassy, and thus besides contacts with the White House. He besides added that the marshal "always exceeds competence" due to the fact that the Sejm is to control the government, not the president. Miller said he had the impression that the marshal prefers to "control the president", and the Prime Minister might be pleased with it due to the fact that the Sejm "wants nothing from him".

– According to the Constitution, the primary work is parliamentary control of the government. Government, not president. And I get the impression that the marshal is very fond of controlling the president of the country, not the government. I think the Prime Minister is delighted. The parliament wants nothing from him," Miller added.

The erstwhile Prime Minister besides criticized the marshal's approach to say that he was part of the coalition and would not control it. Miller claimed that in specified a arrangement it is not classical parliamentary.
