Military training will be voluntary, but universal, the government wants everyone to have the chance to undergo specified training in various forms, and as an incentive it wants to propose various reliefs and benefits for those who will participate in them - stated Deputy manager of MON Cezary Tomczyk on Monday.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke about the ongoing preparation of military training last Friday in the Sejm.
Vice-President MON asked in Polsat News, whether military training will be compulsory, said they would be voluntary but common. "Everyone will be able to make a decision, but of course, about building reserves or calling into the army" - said Tomczyk. He added that the government is not planning to reconstruct the draft.
"We want all Pole and all Pole to have the chance to undergo military training in various forms" - said Tomczyk. He stressed that The government wants to encourage participation in training and to offer the trained various reliefs and benefits.
"All short trainings, which are a form of familiarization with the military, are the first step in making people see what the military looks like at all" - said the deputy chief of the MON. He pointed out that one-day and weekend training is needed due to the fact that it provides a basis and allows citizens to decide whether they want to train further.
Inquired about the details of the training, he announced that in the coming days or weeks the Prime Minister would talk on this subject and that a peculiar press conference was planned.
