One of the consequences of the ongoing war in Ukraine is to cut off to a large degree from the sources of spare parts and key components for post-Soviet provenance helicopters. Poland has the largest fleet of this kind of machines from the “Mi” family, with more than 60 assault, transport and sea rotor planes. As a consequence of many years of negligence, only now the Ministry of defence begins the process of replacing them, pursued both by the needs of the armed forces as well as exhausted resurrements and melting stocks of spare parts. Is ad hoc buying the best method of reforming your fleet?
