On 8-10 October 2024, at the Club of 4th Regional Logistics Base in Wroclaw, the final of the Film, Photography and Plastics Competition of the Polish Army "Military Art 2024" took place. Its goal was to choice the best works of artists dealing with photography, movie and art dealing with military and pro-defence themes.
However, not only artistic qualities and honoring creators is simply a precedence during the National Defence Ministry's Department of Education, Culture and Heritage competitions. Just as crucial as the artistic conflict itself is to form patriotic attitudes among soldiers and civilian environments utilizing visual arts. The past of the Competition in the current expression has continued continuously for respective years. Each year, the competition gathers a number of artists struggling with hard topics. It is besides crucial to make visual technologies and usage them even by not being available a fewer years ago, movie shots from unmanned ships or the usage of computer techniques to make colleges. Despite so many possibilities, there is besides a group of artists reaching for methods of creative expression rooted in past and culture, specified as batik, patchwork, artistic fabric, workshop graphics, classical drawing, or easel painting. He enjoys the ever-presentation of sculptors all year, addressing the spiritual and physical aspects of his work. The ideas enclosed in spatial forms are of large interest to the audience and are noticed and appreciated by judges who pay attention to the advanced level of artistic work.
The "Military Art" final is held annually in another city. This allows you to get acquainted with regionalisms and curiosity related to the place where the competition is hosted. In 2024 the event was implemented by the 4th Regional Logistics Base in Wrocław, which is located in the building built in 1928 of the erstwhile General Commandant. The object of the task by prof. Otto Rudolf Salvisberg inactive impresses with its post-functional architecture. As it was not destroyed during the war in Festung Breslau, and in 1945 it was passed on intact to the Polish military authorities itself became a curiosity for invited guests and participants of the final. The three-day event was celebrated by the performance of the CELEBRO group, artists of the Capitol Theatre and the Land Army Representation Orchestra along with the AWL Choir.
133 artists from all over Poland competed for the award of the Minister of National Defence, who submitted 141 works of art, 301 photographs and 58 films.
The jury awarded a set of awards and distinctions in all competition categories.
Art Competition:
The jury, chaired by Dr Magdalena Wosik, awarded the first prize of the Minister of National Defence to Mrs. Katarzyna Załęska from the Club of the 9th Armoured Forces Commanding Brigade in Białobrzeg for the work entitled "Who Are You?", the second prize of the Minister of National Defence to Mrs. Renata Rzepkowska from the Club of the 6th Airborne Brigade in Krakow for the sculptural diptych "Founders of Freedom I and II", the 3rd prize of the Minister of National Defence to Mrs. Elżbieta Kadulska-Angel from the 1st Logistics Brigade in Bydgoszcz for her work "Dunked in Polish Blood". The awards were received: Mrs. Grażyna Kryspin from the First Logistics Brigade in Bydgoszcz and Mrs. Dorota Czaplicka from Club 16. The Mechanized Division in Olsztyn

Photo contest:
The Jury led by Mr Wojciech Małkowicz awarded the 1st prize to the Minister of National Defence, Captain Mar. Damian Przybysz from the Command of the 3rd Fleet of Ships in Gdynia for a series of photographs entitled “Underwater Crew”, 2nd prize of the Minister of National Defence young Krzysztof Kocierz from the 8th Transport Aviation Base in Kraków-Balice for a series of photographs entitled “God, Honor, Homeland - Extraordinary”, 3rd prize of the Minister of National Defence, Captain Marcin Szubert from the Training Centre of peculiar Forces in Krakow for a series of photographs entitled “GROM - Warriors”. The distinctions were received by Mr. Łukasz DUKAT from the Centre for Training of Engineering and Chemical Forces in Wrocław and Captain Anna DOMINIAK from the 17th Mechanized Brigade in Międzyrzez.

Film Competition:
The Jury, led by Dr. Michał Pietrzak, awarded the 1st prize of the Minister of National Defence to Capt. Piotr Pytl and Sr. Tomasz Łomakin of the 12th Mechanized Brigade in Szczecin for the movie titled "Tatuś", the 2nd prize of the Minister of National Defence at the 15th Mechanized Brigade in Giżyck for the movie "K9 W22 Podlasie", the 3rd prize of the Minister of National Defence at the Sgt. Rafał Samluk of the Operational Command of Armed Forces Types in Warsaw for the movie "Invictus Games 2023". The staff of Piotr Leoniak from the 3rd Fleet of Ships in Gdynia and Sgt. Łukasz Fiedorowicz from the 49th Air Base in Pruszcz Gdański were besides distinguished.
