On the part of the German army, the contract was signed by Annette Lehnigk-Emden serving as president of the national Bundeswehr Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Service Support (BAAINBw). It is an extension of the [current framework agreement](https://defence24.pl/industry/Germans-buy-ammunitions-for-billions) and aims to supplement the ammunition stocks of both Bundeswehr and partner countries (Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia), but besides to support the current activities of Ukraine. However, Germany will stay the main customer. It already includes a erstwhile order of EUR 880 million for the supply of artillery ammunition of cal. 155 in respective varieties. The supply of ammunition under the fresh framework agreement is expected to start in 2025.
