Prior to the press conference, microphones recorded Donald Trump's conversation with Emmanuel Macron. The president of the United States spoke of possible negotiations with Vladimir Putin:

Donald Trump announced a key meeting

He said that during this gathering the subject of safety guarantees for Ukraine was discussed, to be provided by various European countries in cooperation with the United States of America. "Everyone is very pleased with the anticipation of peace for Russia and Ukraine," wrote Donald Trump on the fact Social platform.
The American leader reported that after these meetings ended, he called Vladimir Putin and "started preparations for a gathering whose place would be determined between president Putin and president Zelenski".
"After this gathering there will be trilats, i.e. talks between both presidents and mine. I stress again – this was a very good, early step on the war, which has been going on for almost 4 years," he said.
He added that Vice president J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and peculiar Envoy Steve Witkoff coordinate with Russia and Ukraine. The president of the United States thanked you for your attention on this matter.
