Migrants attacked SG and soldiers of the Polish Army with Molotov cocktail

At night, another dangerous incidental occurred on the Polish-Belarusian border, in the area of Czeremcha. After 22:00, Border defender officers and soldiers of the Polish Army were attacked by a group of people on the Belarusian side of the border barrier.

According to the press spokesperson of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Jacek Dobrzyński, the attackers threw stones at Polish patrols. 1 of the attackers besides threw a Molotov cocktail towards them. The lit bottle crashed in the road, and the spilled liquid stood on fire. Fortunately, no of the officers or soldiers were harmed.

During the safety measures, 10 foreigners were detained, including 5 Afghan citizens and 5 Eritrean citizens. The detainees shall stay at the disposal of the Border Guard, which shall carry out further investigations on the matter. The event was assessed as highly dangerous and posing a serious threat to both the safety of services and the stableness of the state border.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Belarus has been liable for this incident, which has been carrying out organized actions aimed at the safety of the Polish border for respective years.
