The largest 1 was respective metres tall and had beautiful roses on it, whereas the smaller ones contained elements of mountain culture, e.g. wrapped with scarves. On Palm Sunday, a palm competition was organized in the parish of the Queen of Poland. akin competitions were besides held in another communities.
– Thank you very much for maintaining the Palm Sunday tradition. Preparation of the palm tree is besides a beautiful household time, together spent – Fr Janusz Rzepa noted. The priest and the jury gave attractive awards to the winners of the competition, who received vouchers – free tickets to Chocholovskie Term, were besides interesting publications.
The palm competition in Minutia took place after the Holy Mass at 11 a.m. The jury included Zofia Swiss and Eugenia Earthman. The ladies have always had a hard task. They chose palm trees from over 100. The attention of the jury was especially drawn to the longest ones, they were respective metres long and reached almost the roof of the temple.
Nobody left the temple empty-handed, anyone could have had chocolate eggs. Many people came to church on Palm Sunday in regional costumes.
Palm Sunday on Podhale ran in the winter atmosphere. There's a fewer centimeter layer of snow everywhere.
