We are pleased to announce that Kamelia Penkowska – a postgraduate of east Studies 1st and 2nd degree and a PhD student at the School of Doctoral Social Sciences of the University of Warsaw – won a prestigious grant from the National discipline Centre in the PRELUDIUM competition.
Her investigation task entitled "Between the Caucasus and Israel. Modern changes in the culture of Mountain Jews in the context of the multiethnic society of Azerbaijan and transnational relations” will be implemented between 2024 and 1927.
Mr. Penkowska besides serves as a associate of the Board for east Studies, actively engaging in the improvement of the education and technological activities programme.
Her technological interests focus on multiethnicity, cultural boundaries, social memory and transnational links, with peculiar emphasis on cultural groups
residents of the Caucasus. He prepares a doctoral dissertation entitled “Between the Caucasus and Israel. Modern networks of common links between Mountain Jews in the context of the multiethnic society of Azerbaijan and transnational relations".
