According to Trump's decree, the change of name concerns the area up to the Mexican and Cuban sea borders. Users in the U.S. see the Google Gulf maps, but in another places both names appear. Prior to the lawsuit, the Mexican government asked Google to respect the historical designation of part of the Google map service, which is not part of the US.
