A Facebook advertising profile belonging to the Luiz Inácio Luli da Silva staff – an 80-year-old left-wing Brazilian presidential candidate who is moving for his 4th word of office – was temporarily blocked shortly before the presidential election to be held in Brazil on October 4.

Brazilian press agency Agencia Brasil gave this information first. As we know, the staff has withdrawn from the blockade.

At the same time, advertisements in the Brazilian part of Facebook that call for a military coup are not moderated, says Novara Media website editor.

In August 2026 Amnesty global published results experiment conducted, in which she tried to buy a full of 15 campaigns – 1 neutral and 14 deliberately spreading disinformation.

Eight of the commercials purchased were accepted. The remaining 7 were halted due to a deficiency of verification of the identity of the advertiser's account, as these included references to political or social topics.

Amnesty global tried to contact Meta in July erstwhile this study was being created but received no reply.

W A Brazilian individual may run for president again after 2 terms of office, provided that at least 4 years have passed between the presidential term. That's the same amount of time it takes 1 term.

In addition to Luli, Flávio Bolsonaro, the boy of Jair Bolsonaro, a erstwhile far-right Brazilian president who is banned from moving for president until 2030 on suspicion of abuse of their powers.
