According to media reports, on 23 March the Turkish court ordered the arrest of Istanbul mayor Ekram Imamoglu, who is suspected of corruption. At the same time, the request for arrest was rejected as part of an investigation into a second terrorism case. Along with Imamoglu, many of the highest officials of the mayor's office were arrested, a full of over 90 people in a court case. Imamoglu may appeal the court's decision to arrest. On the another hand, the General Prosecutor's Office of Istanbul intends to appeal the decision of the court, which rejected the motion to arrest Imamoglu on terrorism. Only the Constitutional Tribunal can give final judgment.
