During the last pre-election debate on TVP, legislature Deputy Marshal Magdalena Biejat attacked Sławomir Mentzen, accusing him of approving force against the youngest.
– You've said many times that beating children is OK. force besides takes another forms, specified as negligence or failure to pay alimony. I have a question. Do you support these forms of violence? What is your position on alimony and parental work to pay alimony? – asked Biejat.
Mentzen: “It’s shocking that you think so”
The Confederate politician expressed surprise at this approach.
– I admit I'm shocked by this question. I never thought that not paying alimony would have anything to do with honesty, with integrity. Anything good. People who have children and do not lay down to support them should be prosecuted with all the power of the Polish state. Unfortunately, a country built for 20 years by PO-PiS does not do so. There are women who do not receive money for their children, and there are systemic shortcomings – that 20 years of PO-PiS regulation was not adequate to handle this matter – Mentzen said.
– I have no thought how you thought that I could support not paying alimony or leaving children unattended. It's shocking to me and I don't know where you came from. He stressed.
Biejat: “A typical right-wing typical – talks a lot, does little”
The leftist politician did not leave those words unanswered.
– It's shocking to me that Mr. Sławomir Mentzen doesn't realize why I thought he didn't put the children at the centre. Like a typical right-wing typical – he talks a lot about the welfare of children, and erstwhile he comes to specifics, he can't take care of them. You've said many times that simple slaps haven't hurt anyone... And erstwhile you had to put good in the center, you put force at the centre. – she reposted.
