Giorgia Meloni appealed to the global Sumud Fleet to halt and not effort to push the Israeli naval blockade. The Italian Prime Minister fears that specified action can destruct the fragile peace agreement for the mediate East.

"With the peace plan for the mediate East, proposed by president Donald Trump of the United States, the hope of an agreement yet arose to put an end to the war and suffering of the Palestinian civilian population and stabilize the region" - wrote the head of the Italian government on Platform X. Meloni stressed that this hope was based on a fragile balance that would make many happy to fall.

Call for a halt

"I fear that the pretext may be an effort to force the Israeli naval blockade through Flotilla" - added Meloni. The Italian Prime Minister called on the flotilla to accept various proposals to securely supply assistance alternatively of pushing the blockade.

"Every another decision carries the hazard that it will turn into a pretext to prevent peace, fuel conflict and thus hit the Gaza Strip population, which, as it is said, wants to drive aid. This is simply a time of seriousness and responsibility" - stated the Prime Minister of Italy.

Poles on board ships

Global Flotilla Sumud is an global initiative with representatives of more than 40 countries. On board the units are besides Poles, including Franciszek Sterczewski, president of the Social and Cultural Association of Polish Palestinians Omar Faris, president of the Nomad Nina Bird Association and writer and activist Ewa Jasiewicz, author of the book "Burn Gaza".

Several parliamentarians participate in the Italian delegation. The fleet plans to transport humanitarian aid to Gaza despite Israeli naval blockade.

Trump's peace plan

The agreement proposed by Trump implies a permanent end to the war and the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and detainees. The plan besides provides for an increase in the influx of humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of Palestinian territory.

Hamas would surrender power and lay down his arms, and the Gaza Strip would be governed by a temporary Palestinian administration along with global stabilisation forces. The global Council of Peace led by Trump would manage the full thing, and the reformed Palestinian Authority would yet take over.

Guarantees to Gaza residents

The agreement states that the people of the Gaza Strip will not be forced to leave or even be encouraged to stay. A re-Israeli business or annexation was excluded, and Israeli troops would gradually retreat from the Gaza Strip with the taking of work by the stabilisation and demilitarisation forces of the territory.
