The documentation submitted to the Police office includes, among others, an intervention note, a proceeding protocol, a refusal to accept the mandate and footage from the video recorder. This information is provided by RMF FM writer Krzysztof Zasła.
What's next?
The proposal for Mezza will go to the Prevention Office and the Road Traffic Office, where it will be checked. He will then be transferred to the lawyer General, who will direct him to the talker of the Sejm. Then the Sejm decides to waive immunity and it is only then that Mr Meyza will be able to stand trial.
Interestingly, Mezza will no longer halt this procedure. At the moment, it is no longer possible to adopt the mandate. He had a small time due to the fact that his crazy rally took place on Monday. Mezza could have accepted the ticket right away. The police offered him a punishment of PLN 2.5 thousand. However, the politician refused to accept it, covering himself with immunity.
"I did not accept the Mandate simply due to the fact that I was in a hurry to go to the airport and the time needed to discharge it would make certain I was late for the plane (I was late at last)" – he wrote later in a statement.
In the next part, Mr PiS pointed out: "If there is specified a legal option, I will regulate this mandate immediately, and if not, of course, immediately, I will renounce the immunity and bear full work due to the fact that I am a character guest, not any Grodzki who will hide behind the immunity. I'm sorry again."
Controversy around Mezza: Not only behind the wheel
This is not the first time Luke Mezza's behaviour has caused controversy. In early October, he was punished by the Sejm ethics committee for his behaviour towards Senator Wadi Tyszkiewicz. The incidental occurred in a restaurant in the fresh home of Members.
According to Tyszkiewicz's account, MP Meyza was to provoke and insult the senator and his wife, utilizing vulgar words and humiliating phrases. The Marshal's defender intervened.
Mezza did not appear at the ethics committee meeting, even though he had twice the chance to explain his behaviour. He was punished in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, which provides for, among others, a reproof or a reprimand for violating the dignity of the Member.
