Bzów Hill is simply a unique voice of a young writer, reminding about the crucial issues of our history, but besides – in a poetic way – about the possibilities of our language.
The author very personally, writing ,,from the depth of his interior” created for the purposes of the work ,,language in language”, creates the reality presented. Its essence is not only the planet of the spirit of the narrator, filled with the constant presence of the ancestors claiming their place, but besides a description of historically confirmed events, specified as the displacement of the cartoonists from the area of Drohobych to the German areas of Lower Silesia.
The Bovine Hill can be read 1 by 1 in chapters, which form 1 story, but besides in plots, due to the fact that each of them is simply a full, well-spoiled story. Fragmentary reading promotes at times the onic character of this story, moving us to different times and emotional climates, through which the communicative of the author's household and his own life is described. Whether it is true, documentary, as suggested by the retail facts cited, or as told by the writer, it is impossible to full settle. It is up to the reader to choose whether he wants to attach himself to real historical details – signs, or alternatively to guide through the corners the soul of the guide, which becomes a fewer years old at the beginning, and over the years increasing up in front of our eyes a lyrical hero. due to the fact that the uniqueness of this story, as in poetry, is based on metaphorics and ambiguity, on not entirely guessed depth to which we descend through the decks of language. Importantly, the author's language utilized by the characters does not stay airtight, but gives area for many associations. It is precisely due to this refined way of communicative that 1 can place this prose between Brunon Schulz's stories, full of language and imagination games, and the poetic-metaphysical prose of Tadeusz Nowak.
In the Bzów Hill, the literary transformation takes place in the past of the unique cultural formation, which was the citizens of the multinational tiger of the erstwhile Republic, by decision of powers displaced to the Lower Silesia area. In the fresh Staronia – for the Lower Silesian province, to Jędrzychow, a village in its north-western part.
By learning the individual fates of circumstantial people from the immediate surroundings of the narrator, we realize how clearly the mechanisms of past influenced them. Invited to participate in their lives we become witnesses to building their fresh home on the fresh Borderlands.
This is simply a communicative about a communicative that – unrepentant and unworked in the process of mourning in a generation of its heroes – returns in the 3rd generation, in frequently unconscious memories of their grandchildren. In Bzów Hill, the grandson of the characters of the book tries to cry for them, grieve, but besides to go on a brighter path, from which the past is better seen.
