Political prisoners, pardoned on Thursday by Belarusian leader Alaksandr Lukashenko, begin mass freedom in Belarus – said present portal Nasja Niwa.
Lukashenko, after talking to U.S. president Donald Trump, John Coale, pardoned 250 people, 235 of whom were allowed to stay in Belarus and 15 were taken to Lithuania. These others, including tv writer Belsat Kaciaryna Andreyev and activists of the Human Rights Center “Wiasna” by Marf Rabkov and Walancin Stefanowicz, have already regained their freedom on Thursday – said “Wiasna”.
Now the remaining pardoned "political prisoners are being released from the penal colonies and alleged chemistry, or punishment of exile and correction," said Our Niwa.
According to the portal “signals [about the release of pardoned – PAP] come from all over the country – both from women's and men's facilities”.
The dismissals will take place on both Friday and Saturday," said the advisor to the leader of the Belarusian opposition Swiatlana Ciechnouska, Dzianis Kuczynski, who is in contact with the American side.
Vice-President of the Belarusian opposition United Transitional Office (government of exile) Paweł Latuszka reported on the Telegram that any political prisoners exported to Lithuania want to apply for legalization of their stay in Poland.
In exchange for the release of another group of political prisoners, “the US abolishes sanctions against Belinwistbank, Bank Razwiccia (The improvement Bank) and Ministry of Finance. The U.S. besides decided to abolish all sanctions against 2 Belarusian companies, the Belarusian Potassium performance and Belaruśkalia," said Coale.
The presently released political prisoners are also group that has regained freedom in Belarus in fresh months.
