The American Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uses a chatbot based artificial intelligence Grok to monitor the communication of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) staff and identify “enemy” statements to president Donald Trump — stated Reuters, citing sources.
The service of artificial intelligence Grok was developed by the xAI company of American entrepreneur Ilona Muska, who besides directs DOGE.
"DOGE actively exploits the chatbot of artificial intelligence Muska Grok as part of his work on cuts in the national government.... In the Environmental Protection Agency, Trump's officers told any leadership that the Muska squad was implementing artificial intelligence to monitor employees, including for searching for a language in communication considered hostile to Trump or Muska ", according to the agency.
According to Reuters, communication through Microsoft Teams and another programs utilized by agency employees is monitored in particular.
The EPA informed the agency that it was considering utilizing artificial intelligence to "optimize the agency's functions and improve administrative efficiency", but denied the joint usage of artificial intelligence from DOGE to address individual issues.
