The Chinese state company supplied Russia with dozens of tons of chemicals for the production of carbon fibre for Gerań combat drones, according to the investigation “The Telegraph” and Politico. Intelligence data show direct cooperation between the Chinese company and the subsidiary of the Russian company Rosatom.
The British diary and portal in their journalism investigation mention the leak of Russian interior transport and customs documents, transmitted to the governments of the United States and large Britain by the Ukrainian think tank safety and Cooperation Centre (USCC).
These papers show that the Chinese company Jilin Chemical fibre Group has provided 46 tonnes of polyacrylonitrile precursors (PAN) to Alabuga-Volokno in Tatarstan since the beginning of the year. This substance is simply a key natural material for producing light and durable carbon fibers utilized in the hulls, wings and fuel tanks of the Geran kamikaze drones, or Russian version of the Shaheds.
