
U.S. president Joe Biden has placed an ultimatum to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, threatening to halt helping Israel unless he changes his operation in the Gaza Strip – reports Axios citing sources.
"President Biden placed an ultimatum on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a Thursday telephone call: he said that unless Israel changes its course in the Gaza Strip, 'we will no longer be able to aid you'," wrote the portal, citing 3 competent people.
Biden did not specify precisely what he meant by the failure of American support, nor did he mention in this context the anticipation of stopping arms supplies to Israel. However, the sources stated that this was Biden's "hardest" conversation with Netanyahu "both in terms of speech and content" from 7 October.
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Friday that Netanjahu told Biden that Israel, after an attack on planet Central Kitchen (WCK) volunteers in the Gaza Strip, agreed to adapt its war practices to defend humanitarian workers helping Palestinian civilians.
Israel was struck by an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip on 7 October as part of Operation Al-Aksa Flood, announced by the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
Organization fighters then infiltrated border areas in confederate Israel, where they opened fire on both military and civilian, and besides took over 200 hostages. In Israel, according to the latest figures of the authorities, about 1.2 000 people died, including civilians, soldiers, foreigners and workers, and more than 5 000 were injured.

Israel besides announced a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip: supplies of water, food, electricity, medicines and fuel have been halted. At the end of October, an Israeli enclave operation began. The city of Gaza was surrounded by Israeli land forces, and the enclave was actually divided into the confederate and northern parts.
The number of Israeli deaths to the Gaza Strip has exceeded 33,000, and about 75 700 people have been injured, reported the Ministry of wellness of the Gaza Strip. Hamas claimed that there were about 200-250 hostages in the Gaza Strip. After the ceasefire ended, the Israeli authorities reported that 126 Israelis and 11 foreigners remained hostages of Hamas and 110 abducted were released.
