Medal of Honor for a soldier who died saving a Pole

"The White home informed us that the hero of Staten Island, Staff Sergeant of the American Army Michael Ollis, received the Medal of Honor for extraordinary heroism. In 2013, Staff Sergeant Ollis sacrificed his life to save an allied soldier, and his courage, selflessness and dedication are the best example of the value of our nation" - she wrote on Tuesday Malliotakis on Facebook. She stressed that the efforts to honour Ollie had been ongoing for years and expressed her gratitude to president Donald Trump for granting the soldier a medal.
