"This year's seniors could have been better," admits the head of the Ministry of National Education, Barbara Nowack. There is peculiar concern about mathematics, both on the SAT and the eighth grade exam. The Ministry is already running, introducing fresh programs supporting the learning of this subject, but the results will not be seen for a fewer years.
