Mother-Polce

What have you done to your country, Oskar?
That you were killed by the guards.
torn from the hands of a kind mother
You never came home.

What have you done to your country, Lena?
That you were taken from your brother
and in abroad hands as if a thing was given away
It's like there's inactive not adequate fear.

What do you owe your country, young mother?
That you were taken in chains to the funeral
with a weight in the heart beyond human measure
When You Can't Wipe Your Tears—for Punishment

For what punishment and for whose fault
shackles of despair after the death of a child
You pay girl for the crimes of the nation
closed eyes and empty hearts of cold
