Marek DyżewskiAbout Chopin's music measurement game
This peculiar lecture reminds us of the occasion starting the 19th Chopin Competition.

Prof. Marek Dyżewski's lecture "About Chopin's Music Game" was given on 29 September 2015 at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw, just before the beginning of another Chopin Competition.
"I only play what the composer wrote“ Even large musicians say, “Executive tips I find in notes”. In their understanding, explanation is simply a reflection of the cognition and experience of the work. However, this is not an attitude that is adequate in Chopin's music. The key to explanation should be not only the work, but besides the way its creator plays. It must be remembered that Chopin's game was an absolutely first and unique phenomenon, it was a sui generis masterpiece.
We do not know this game in its live edition. But we are able to make an thought of it: based on the relations of musicians, critics, Chopin's students and his friends – poets, writers, painters. Their opinions are amazingly coherent, mutually reinforcing and complementary. Prof. Jan Ekier rightly argued that it was possible to reconstruct Chopin's game. And if possible, it is besides needed – as a mention point for contemporary interpretations of Chopin music. present – as it seems – Chopin is best played by the 1 who not only expresses the meaning of his works, but besides refers to the kind of his game.
