The first afraid the application of the National Public Prosecutor's Office, supported earlier by the Sejm's Rules of Procedure Commission, Poselski and Immunity Affairs, which requested the anticipation of detention and imprisonment of erstwhile Deputy Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski. He supervised illegal activities in the Justice Fund from 2016 to 2023 according to prosecutors and according to investigative policies "had awareness of the existence and functioning of an organized criminal group". The evidence collected is intended to indicate that he committed 11 crimes, and the amount referred to in the application amounts to PLN 112 million. The basic evidence collected in this case is explanations of the erstwhile Fund official, Tomasz M., who presented audio recordings in support of them.
Romanowski himself referred to the decisions of the Sejm on social media, where he called it "political revenge": "(...) I am not going to destabilize any proceedings or run away. Or faint. I am prepared to respond to those unwarranted, politically motivated vengeance of charges which are made to me by persons who are not entitled to these actions anyway due to their incorrect vocation (...). I have always acted in accordance with the law and in due time and mode I will present evidence that undermines Thomas M.... I agree to usage my full name in public space and to usage my image.”
There were 234 Members in favour of the proposal and 196 opposed it and 4 abstained. The resolution was adopted by an absolute majority.
