Why did this controversial advertising slogan remind me of years later, now, at the threshold of 2026? Just before Christmas, 1 of the left-wing Members of the ruling coalition on 13 December during the discussion in the tv studio, the Republic announced that the EU-Mercosur agreement was no threat to Polish farmers and Polish consumers, due to the fact that in practice Argentine beef will be 5 times more costly than Polish beef. Attention, I will compose it again, verbally: 5 times more expensive. That's erstwhile I thought I was an idiot due to the fact that I was seriously worried about signing this deal. But if Argentine beef is 5 times more costly than Polish beef, who will buy it? possibly the patron named Horse yet hugged a bit of a penny. possibly there'll be people who, for the sake of principle, add Argentine beef alternatively of sausage. But this is how Argentine beef will be, in fact, "not for idiots."
And although I was ashamed that I was completely unwarranted about signing a contract with Mercosur, on the another hand, I was relieved that Polish beef would not be eliminated from the marketplace by competitive beef at an unnaturally low price. But that relief did not completely dispel the feeling of shame that gave me unusual thoughts and associations. I thought that the leaders of the Mercosur countries were just idiots. They are pushing, at any cost, to sign a totally unfavourable agreement with the European Union. How much will they sale in Europe, including Poland, so costly beef? Even if there's a lawyer in all EU country called Konie, there won't be a pack of customers here. Do they not know that a "not for idiots" offer must be offered in commercial relations? What if they knew? And that's where the strangest thought came into my head. possibly it's a slogan, this slogan "not for idiots", controversial as a commercial slogan, should be a motto in campaigning for the Polish parliament? If this were the case, then the ruling coalition MP quoted in this column would not talk publically specified nonsense that Argentine beef would be 5 times more costly than Polish beef, and so Mercosur countries, supported by Ursula Water Leje, are moving towards signing this unfavourable agreement as shortly as possible.
I want everyone a fresh 2026. The year was a year "not for idiots". Not for idiots in the Polish parliament and in the Polish government. That the year 2026 would be a rebellion against the power of foolish, reckless people, dealing only with private matters, focusing on their own interests. In Florian Czarniszewicz's fresh “Nadberesińcy” 1 of the cartoonists asked: “Don't you know that Poland is gathering to revolt? It's all year round. She wants to be herselfIt’s okay. ” I want everyone that in 2026 Poland wants to be itself. So she could be herself. It only takes 1 thing and 1 thing. We gotta want to be ourselves. Let's face each another at the threshold of fresh Year. And myself in front of the mirror and each other. Whether we want to be ourselves. Whether we want Poland to be itself.
