The book was released on sale on the eve of the election on 12 October 2023. Witold Juras, presently writer of Onetu, in 2010 was chargé d'affaires Poland in Belarus. On April 10, 2010, he stayed in the capital city of Belarus of Minsk, and after the government crash TU154M went to Smolensk.
From a fewer passages of the book quoted in the article, he noted: “As I remember today, Dark clearly told me that the Russians had informed him that the plane had already tried to land once. This is so crucial that, as we know, nothing like this, that is, an effort to approach landing, took place. I checked the telephone records later, and our conversation was precisely 3 minutes before the crash. In another words, the lie arose before the disaster occurred. This does not mean that the disaster was an assassination.” This is simply a very important, shocking testimony. As is known to be the case by the participants of a tragic event, it is not only in the event of a deliberate crime. We can besides deal with mattivism erstwhile any accident participant, being aware of making a mistake, not being careful, mattivists in order to avoid possible liability for inadvertently causing a tragedy. But in the case described by Witold Juras, we have – most likely the first case in past – of mating before an event, before an accident, before a disaster. The plane is in the air, it is inactive miles distant from the runway, there is no indication of any real threat, and the Russians are already starting to grovel, to blame Polish pilots for bringing... That's precisely what the disaster hasn't happened yet. To say that the evidence quoted by Mr. Juras is shocking, it is as if nothing has been written.
The article cites another highly crucial passage from the book. The author refers to the celebrated photograph from the scene of the tragedy, from the place where the massacred bodies of the victims were laid, including the president of Poland prof. Lech Kaczyński. This image shows Donald Tusk clenching his fists in a distinctive way and smiling at clearly satisfied Putin:
For respective years, millions of Poles have been wondering what Putin Tusk could have said, that it caused him to feel his fists tightened and grin on his face. After all, at specified a time and in specified a place Putin could not say that despite the disgraceful defeat of Polish footballers in the 2010 planet Championships, he wishes Tusk to advance to the next finals in 2014. It is impossible to come up with a rational answer to what Putin Tusk said. Donald Tusk himself, who could solve all kinds of doubts with 1 statement, is unfortunately silent about this. In the absence of rational explanation, the hypothesis made by Witold Juras is very reasonable. Donald Tusk, captured in this photograph, does not smile, it can only be a facial grimace, caused by something highly touching, said by Vladimir Putin, with whom he remained in friendly relations. This is simply a legitimate hypothesis that Putin in the image was captured “en face”, and his visible grin is as natural as possible.
In 2010, Donald Tusk received a gift from Vladimir Putin, as officially stated, "a vase of gold-plated silver decorated with marble elements":
