What is freedom? Freedom is defined as: “The deficiency of coercion, the ability to act and express oneself according to their own will. A situation where choices can be made freely from all options available without external coercion, regulation or manipulationIt’s okay. ”
Boys from the Square of Arms sang about freedom in a 1990 track by Bogdan Łyszkiewicz:
“Freedom I love and understand
Freedom I cannot give back”
The European Union, namely the European Parliament, who took immunity from Daniel Obedek on 7 October, decided to stand on this freedom. The case was so apparent that the votes were not even counted, how much for and how much against. A forest of hands raised for taking distant Obietki's immunity would see even the blind. The case was apparent due to the fact that Daniel Obietek committed a criminal offence against the very freedom that the EU is defending. Here, in 2023, erstwhile he was president of Orlen, he ordered the withdrawal from the sale at petrol stations belonging to the company of copies of the weekly “NO” with an insulting image of John Paul II on the cover. He translated it as follows: "I have decided to retreat from all sales points of Orlen the fresh edition of the WEEK, whose cover exceeds all limits. We have area for all press titles, but there is no consent for hatred speech and demolition of the authority of St John Paul II".
In this way, Daniel Obatek tried to restrict freedom, and in addition, in its most desirable dimension, in terms of scorning holiness, insulting Catholics, sacrilege. And this is the essence of the freedom which the European Parliament has been guarding. Now, without immunity, Obietek may stand before a free court, who, in defence of freedom, will be able to conviction him to years of imprisonment for limiting that freedom.
On the same day, 7 October, the European Parliament besides examined another request to waive immunity, a request to waive the immunity of the Italian Euro MP Ilaria Salis. Only that, in this case, the proposal itself was an effort to restrict freedom, which is why the European Parliament, erstwhile again, has rejected it. Therefore, Ilaria Salis will not stand trial, although she is accused of attempted murder. Ilaria Salis, an activist of left-wing Antifa, participated in Budapest in February 2023 in beating with the peculiar cruelty of random people. possibly not so many random people, but those who Salis considered to be right-wing people. Since they were people met on the street, unknown to her personally, the assessment of their right-wingness guided the assessment of their dress. It may be that the very fact that they were dressed proved to be right. After all, if it were different, those people, in a public place specified as the street, would parade if not deflated, at least in any heavy defiled outfit. Ilaria Salis, utilizing nothing limitless freedom, utilized peppermint gas, kicked it, and beat it with a telescopic stick.
However, the numerical consequence of the vote is worrying, namely 306:305. This time, unlike the vote on Obietek, the votes were counted and it turned out that only 1 vote, that it was 1 vote that decided to defend freedom. Freedom to humiliate, to beat and abuse another people, to consciously exposure another man to the danger of losing his life, freedom to apply a peculiar cruelty in the name of leftist ideology. What emotions must have been accompanied by Ilaria Salis during the vote, erstwhile she was most likely considering whether to submit to a free voting procedure, whether to enjoy freedom and spray pepper spray in the Europarliament room, as she did then, on the streets of Budapest. Emotions that most likely accompanied her since she was a child, erstwhile she frequently heard that individual had "two left hands" that individual got up with a "left leg out of bed" that individual had "left interests", had "left income" or had "left papers." She most likely grew up in the atmosphere that the law forbids the left. But she has lived to see the time erstwhile she became a Euro MP, erstwhile the European Parliament, in charge of her freedom, stood defender against her freedom, without a limit.
What is freedom? The attribute of freedom is work that says "The usage of freedom involves the work to bear the consequences of their choices and to respect the freedoms of others". This is what the European Parliament has forgotten in both votes, the repeal of Daniel Obiekt's immunity and the rejection of the request to waive the immunity of Ilaria Salis. He forgot or didn't know. possibly he didn't know what he didn't want to know.
