Angola is located in southwest Africa on the Atlantic Ocean. In terms of the area of Angola is 4 times the size of Poland but the population is close to our country and is about 38 million. The capital of Luanda has over 5 million inhabitants.
The 7th European Union (EU) - African Union (AU) summit was held in Angola in November. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk represented Poland at the summit. It is due to the rank of the Polish delegation at the airport in Luanda that Prime Minister Tusk was greeted by president Angola Mr João Lourenço. Along the red carpet was expected by a military representation unit in gallant uniforms and the president was dressed in an elegant, dark suit and white shirt. Despite the authoritative nature of the visit, confirmed by a welcome ceremony, Donald Tusk stepped out of the plane and stepped on the red carpet without a jacket, without a tie, in the unattached under the neck of the shirt, with sloppy cuffs of a somewhat worn shirt, in grey-beige shoes with a sports profile.
